Have you “Heard” the News?
According to the latest Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Regulation in Europe (EU) 2016/425, harmful noise is now considered an irreversible health risk.
As from April 2018, hearing protection will be re-classified from Category II to Category III types of risks, which means that protective equipment must pass stricter tests for conformity and certification.
Never Turn a “Deaf” Ear to Safety
With over 30 years of experience in delivering world-class hearing protection globally, Honeywell can provide a wide range of products that are compliant with the latest safety regulations.
What does this mean for Me?
- The new PPE Regulation (EU)
2016/425 acknowledges the fact
that noise induced hearing loss
(NIHL) is a serious threat with an
irreversible damage to health.
- Although it is irreparable and
irreversible, it can be easily prevented
with appropriate hearing protection
from a trusted supplier.
- Importers and distributors need
to guarantee that only PPE that
conforms to the new PPE Regulation
is available on the market.
